Extracurricular
While I do treasure any chance to acquire new knowledge, it is my belief that moments of reprieve from education are important to efficient learning and a healthy lifestyle. Being home schooled has offered me a lot of freedom to ascertain my interests over the years, an option that has led me to pursue fewer hobbies but devote extra time to each of them.
American Football
I started playing American Football when I was about 11 years old, and I stopped when I was 16. The quality of the only available league had been declining for a while, and the tearing of my shoulder was eventually the tipping point that led me to stop playing. Even so, American football was one of my most intense passions and remains my favorite sport to this day.

Rugby
My decision to play rugby came after I had fully recovered from my shoulder surgery. I was eager to play an intense sport again, but I was hesitant to join the deteriorating football league. I turned to rugby, something I could recognize as similar to football in its intensity. I only played for one season but rugby quickly became one of my favorite sports, coming second only to American football.

Diving
I became a PADI certified diver during the summer of 2018. It has, without a doubt, become my favorite hobby to date. I've been lucky enough to dive at multiple amazing sites, including some in Abu Dhabi, UAE; Fujairah, UAE; Muscat, Oman; and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Diving is an amazing experience, and no matter how many times I submerge myself underwater and see the reefs and fish swirling with life and color, it will always take my breath away.
